The Martha’s Party Wedding + Event Conference just keeps getting bigger and better each year. And the third annual event – held May 5 to May 7,  2025, at the Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown – was no exception. Hosted by Island Weddings magazine, in partnership with PartySlate, local and regional professionals gathered to gain insight from panelists and speakers, while networking with vendors from on and off the Island.

Representatives from Cape Air, Dez Collective, and Tradewind Aviation spoke about the ins and outs of shipping items to the Island. While caterers Taylor Buckley, Jimmy Alvarado, and Deon Thomas talked about trends in event cuisine, such as the rise in buffet-style meals and specialty tables for a more diverse mix of food. Amy Kurth, ad representative for Island Weddings, and Marnely Murray, of Shored Up Digital, discussed the importance of advertising across various platforms and how to make those ads stand out. Keynote speaker Ieasha James, of Endless Flair Event Design, highlighted upcoming trends for this year: be on the lookout for dramatic drapery, the use of fruits and veggies in designs, and immersive interactions.

Two evening events gave attendees a taste of the Island. The Sweet Beats Showcase featured dessert offerings, while the Vendor Showcase highlighted how caterers, florists, musicians, and more can provide special elements to any event.   

Following the conference, attendees left with the knowledge, connections, and confidence to plan their own wedding or event on Martha’s Vineyard and beyond.
