The groom toasted the bride’s Korean parents in their native language.

The bride, a professional violinist, and the groom, a flutist, gave a mini-concert with family and friends during the cocktail hour.

The couple’s first dance, to “Marry Me” by Train, was choreographed by a modern dancer.

Moments like these live on forever when captured on video, so Justin Berrie and Yoon Kwon hired Martha’s Vineyard Productions to follow their big day last August, which included a ceremony at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown and a reception next door at the Dr. Daniel Fisher House. “A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and we wanted to make sure we had every footage possible,” Yoon says, “so we could show our kids, and years later we could watch it and remind ourselves of the day we committed our lives to each other.”

Martha’s Vineyard Productions owner/director Dan Martino and his team follow the bride and groom both separately and together. Then they compile and edit their hours-long footage, and also create a short online video for the couple to enjoy and share.

“Our friends and family want to relive the moment too – the ones who were able to come to the wedding, because they had such a great time, and the ones who couldn’t make it could also experience it through video,” Yoon says. “There are silly moments, candid moments, and the moments that went by so quickly at the time. We can laugh and cry about it now!”

Wedding videography is growing, both in the numbers of couples hiring companies and in the quality of the results, Dan says. “It’s the younger generation that’s beginning to embrace it,” he explains. “The mentality of sharing your life on the Internet is huge.”

Dan’s company also offers to include honeymoon footage edited from a camera the couple brings along. Pricing ranges from about $1,000 to $3,000 for the wedding day, and up to $5,000 with the honeymoon. Yoon and Justin’s short video is on www.weddingsmv.com, which also features those of other couples.
“We tried to enjoy every second of our day, but with the excitement and everyone around, we missed some things. We can look at the video and relive it all. If anything, I wish we had even more footage. It’s the closest thing to a reality TV show!” Yoon says, adding, “Although our marriage will last forever.”
